You store a vape at room temperature, out of direct sun and dry. Heat and UV light are hard on the liquid and the battery, moisture harms the electronics. Unopened devices stay in their packaging, opened ones get a fixed place. Do not leave the battery empty before a longer break. That applies to every range at RandM Vape Shop (randmvape.shop).

Which places work and which do not?

Any place that stays at an even temperature, shaded and dry works. Places with sun, heat sources or moisture do not. The table gives examples. They follow our frequently asked questions and the battery notice: room temperature and no direct sunlight. A car gets too warm quickly in summer.

Place Suitable Why
Drawer or cupboard in a living room yes room temperature, dark, dry
Windowsill no direct sun and UV light
Next to a radiator or a hob no heat is hard on the battery and the liquid
Bathroom no damp air
Car no too warm quickly in summer, cold in winter

Why do heat and light do harm?

Because they hit the two sensitive parts. Liquid ages faster under light and warmth, and you notice that mostly in the aroma. The lithium battery takes heat badly. Warm liquid also gets thinner and can leak at the mouthpiece. What else to watch with the battery is in the Battery notice.

How do you store unopened devices?

In the original packaging. It protects against light and dust and carries the manufacturer’s security code, which you use to check that it is genuine. Only open the box when you want to use the device. If you order a supply, put the boxes somewhere dark at room temperature. How to check the code is shown in the Authenticity check.

How do you store a device you have opened?

In a fixed place indoors. Do not leave it in a jacket, in a sports bag or in the car. Wipe the mouthpiece before you put it away. If you put it away for several weeks, charge the battery first. A battery left empty keeps discharging. Deep discharge harms it. More on that is in the article Vape not used for a long time.

How long can you store a vape?

We do not name a period in months, because we have no figure from the manufacturer for it. Stored correctly, a device stays usable for a long time. Even so, only order as much as you will get through in the foreseeable future. At 300 puffs a day a Fumot Digital Box 12000 lasts about 40 days on paper, a Fumot Leopard 40K about 135 days.

What do you check after longer storage?

The housing, the display and the first puffs. If the housing is deformed or swollen, do not use the device. Otherwise charge it over USB-C and look at the battery level and the liquid level. Start with a few gentle puffs. You find every range under Disposable vapes and in the overview of the RandM Tornado models.

Frequently asked questions

Can I store a vape in the fridge?

We do not recommend it. Room temperature is right. Cold makes the liquid thick and slows the battery down.

Should I keep the packaging?

Yes, for as long as you use the device. The manufacturer’s security code is printed on it.

How do I store the device if there are children in the house?

Out of reach and out of sight, ideally in a locked cupboard. The devices contain nicotine and a battery.

Does the liquid lose nicotine in storage?

The liquid ages slowly, mostly under light and warmth. You notice that in the aroma rather than in the strength.
