The K stands for thousand. 12K is 12,000 puffs, 15K is 15,000 puffs and 35K is 35,000 puffs. What is meant is always the puff count the manufacturer states for a device. From 35,000 puffs upwards, Fumot writes the number with a K on the box itself. On the smaller ranges the K is a shorthand from the trade and from search.
Which range is behind which shorthand?
Each shorthand belongs to exactly one range. The number before the K is the puff count in thousands. At RandM Vape Shop (randmvape.shop) we stock eight ranges from 12K to 80K. The table shows the device behind each shorthand and the name of the range in our shop.
| Shorthand | Puffs as stated by the manufacturer | Range |
|---|---|---|
| 12K | up to 12,000 | Fumot Digital Box 12000 |
| 15K | up to 15,000 | RandM Tornado 15000 |
| 20K | up to 20,000 | Fumot Tornado 20000 |
| 25K | up to 25,000 | RandM Tornado 25000 |
| 35K | up to 35,000 | Fumot Tornado 35K |
| 40K | up to 40,000 | Fumot Leopard 40K |
| 50K | up to 50,000 | Fumot Eco 2in1 50000 |
| 80K | up to 80,000 | Fumot Eco 4in1 80000 |
From when is the K on the box?
From 35,000 puffs. From that size upwards Fumot shortens the puff count on the box with a K. That is why the ranges are called Fumot Tornado 35K and Fumot Leopard 40K. The smaller ranges carry the number written out in their name, for example RandM Tornado 15000. The shorthand 15K means the same device, it just is not in the official name. Fumot lists the two Eco ranges as 50K and 80K, while in our shop they appear with the number written out.
Is a 12K vape the same as the RandM Tornado 12000?
Yes. 12K vape, RandM Tornado 12000 and Fumot Digital Box 12000 all name the same device. Fumot is the manufacturer and lists it as the Digital Box 12000. Alongside that, the name RandM Tornado 12000 has stuck in the trade. How the two names relate is in the article RandM and Fumot: who is behind them?
Does the number before the K say how long the device lasts?
Only together with how much you use. The puff count is a manufacturer’s figure for even puffs. Divide it by your puffs per day and you have your runtime. At 300 puffs a day a 12K lasts about 40 days, a 15K about 50 days and a 35K about 115 days. Anyone drawing longer and harder comes in below that.
Every range worked through is in the article How many puffs does a vape really have?
Does a higher number also mean more nicotine?
No. The K only describes the puff count. The nicotine strength is the same in all eight ranges: 20 mg/ml, which is 2 per cent. So an 80K is not stronger than a 12K, it lasts longer. What changes with the range are the liquid volume, the coil and the build. Those figures are in the data sheet on every product page.
What do 2in1 and 4in1 mean on the 50K and the 80K?
The number before the in1 gives the flavors in the device. The Fumot Eco 2in1 50000 has two separate chambers with one flavor each, the Fumot Eco 4in1 80000 has four separate tanks. You switch at the mouthpiece and nothing is mixed. The puff count applies to the whole device, so to all the chambers together.
All eight ranges side by side are under Disposable vapes.
