You carry a vape in its own bag that closes: protected from pressure, dirt and heat. Loose in a trouser pocket or a rucksack, lint collects in the mouthpiece and in the charging port. In a back pocket you will sit on it sooner or later. A housing that has been deformed in the process is one you stop using. It does not take more than that.

What do you have to protect the device from when you are out?

From four things. Each of them looks small on its own and only becomes a problem through habit. The table shows what happens and how you avoid it. It applies to every range at RandM Vape Shop (randmvape.shop), because they all have an open mouthpiece, a USB-C port and a lithium battery.

From what What happens otherwise How you avoid it
Dirt lint in the mouthpiece and in the charging port its own bag or its own compartment
Pressure the housing deforms, the battery can be damaged not in a back pocket, nothing heavy on top
Heat is hard on the battery and the liquid do not leave it in the car or in the sun
Wet moisture in the port and inside the device in the inside pocket when it rains

Which bag works?

Any one that closes and that has nothing else flying around in it. A case in the right size or its own compartment in a rucksack is enough. What matters is that no keys, coins or crumbs are in the compartment too. Metal parts can scratch the charging port, crumbs end up in the mouthpiece. We do not stock a dedicated protective case for the ranges.

Why is a trouser pocket not a good idea?

Because of the lint and because of the pressure. In a front pocket dust collects in the mouthpiece and makes the draw harder. In a back pocket you sit on the device. A lithium battery does not take pressure. If the housing is deformed or swollen afterwards, stop using the device. What applies then is in the Battery notice.

How is the device best carried?

Upright or flat, with the mouthpiece protected. More important than the position is the temperature. If the device lies warm, the liquid gets thinner and can leak at the mouthpiece. After carrying it you hold it level for the first puff and draw gently. What to do if something does leak is in the article Vape is leaking.

What applies in heat and cold when you are out?

In summer the device does not stay in the car and not in the sun. In winter you carry it in an inside pocket, close to your body. In the cold the battery gives less power and the liquid gets thick. If the device has been lying outside, warm it in your hand for ten minutes. More on that is in the article Vape in the car.

How do you take several devices with you?

Protected individually and still in their packaging if they are unopened. The packaging protects the device and carries the security code. Opened devices go in their own compartment. Empty devices you take to a collection point unopened, taping over the contacts first. You find every range under Disposable vapes and in the overview of the RandM Tornado models. Everything else about daily use is in the article Vape in daily life.

Frequently asked questions

Can a vape go off by itself in a bag?

Normally not. Our ranges only fire when you draw on the mouthpiece.

Is there a protective case for the RandM Tornado?

We do not stock one. A case in the right size or its own compartment does the same job.

What do I do if I have sat on the device?

Check the housing. If it is deformed, cracked or swollen, stop using the device and hand it in.

Does the mouthpiece have to be covered when I am out?

It is enough if the device lies in a clean bag. Give the mouthpiece a quick wipe before you draw.
