Battery level and e-liquid level. Every vape with a display in our range shows those two, from the Digital Box 12000 to the Eco 4in1 80000. None of the devices has a puff counter. Two models show more than the two standard readings: the Fumot Tornado 20000 shows the selected coil mode, the Eco 4in1 80000 the active tank from one to four.
Which two readings are on every display?
The battery's charge level and the e-liquid level. You have both in view as you draw, without opening or shaking the device. The battery level tells you when you need the USB-C cable. The e-liquid level tells you when the device is genuinely coming to an end, because none of these models can be refilled.
That split is the whole point of the display. An empty battery is not a problem, an empty tank is. Which models exist and how else they differ is under Disposable Vapes.
Does the display count the puffs?
No. None of the models has a puff counter, not even the big ones. The number in the product name is a manufacturer figure and the device does not keep count of it. If you want to know how far along you are, read the e-liquid level. That is the more honest reading, because it shows actual use rather than a measurement under lab conditions.
Your own runtime is better worked out from your last device. How to do that is in our article on how many puffs a vape really has.
Which model shows what?
All eight show the battery level and the e-liquid level. Two models add a third reading, because they can do something you would otherwise have to guess at. The Tornado 25000 shows the same two readings as the others, just on a color display. The table sums up what each model shows and what else stands out about its display.
| Model | Display | What stands out |
|---|---|---|
| Fumot Digital Box 12000 | Battery level, e-liquid level | box shape with a digital display |
| RandM Tornado 15000 | Battery level, e-liquid level | RGB light while you draw |
| Fumot Tornado 20000 | Battery level, e-liquid level, selected mode | one coil for runtime, two for more vapor |
| RandM Tornado 25000 | Battery level, e-liquid level | color display, operated by a touch panel |
| Fumot Tornado 35K | Battery level, e-liquid level | RGB light while you draw |
| Fumot Leopard 40K | Battery level, e-liquid level | clear housing, RGB while you draw |
| Fumot Eco 2in1 50000 | Battery level, e-liquid level | two flavors, switched at the mouthpiece |
| Fumot Eco 4in1 80000 | Battery level, e-liquid level, active tank 1 to 4 | four flavors in four separate tanks |
What does the display show on the devices with several flavors?
On the Eco 4in1 80000 the active tank is on the display, from one to four. You turn the mouthpiece a quarter turn and see right away which of the four chambers you are in. The device holds 26 ml of e-liquid in four separate tanks of 6.5 ml each, and nothing mixes.
The Eco 2in1 50000 handles it differently. It shows only the battery level and the e-liquid level; which of the two flavors is running is not on the display. You hear it instead: you lift the mouthpiece, turn it, and it clicks audibly into place. Two chambers of 10 ml each, fully separate.
Why does the e-liquid level drop faster than the battery level?
Because you can recharge the battery and you cannot refill the e-liquid. All our models have a USB-C port. The battery starts back at full after every charge, the tank does not. Over the life of a device you watch the battery level rise and fall several times, while the e-liquid level only ever goes one way.
In practice: the battery level is a reminder to charge, the e-liquid level is your countdown. If the battery reads low and the e-liquid high, you still have plenty ahead of you.
Which vape with a display fits you?
That depends on whether the two standard readings are enough for you. For most people they are, and then you choose by puff count and flavor rather than by the display. The display only gets interesting where it shows something you would otherwise have to guess, so the coil mode and the active tank.
- You want it simple. Every model shows battery and e-liquid, so pick by puff count. The entry point is the Digital Box 12000.
- You want to switch between vapor and runtime. Then you need the mode display on the Fumot Tornado 20000.
- You want several flavors in the device. With four tanks, the number on the display helps, see the Eco 4in1 80000 above.
- You like the look. The RandM Tornado 25000 has a color display and is operated by a touch panel instead of a button.
FAQ
Do all your vapes have a display?
Yes. All eight models from the Digital Box 12000 to the Eco 4in1 80000 have a readout for the battery level and the e-liquid level. We do not carry devices without a display.
What does the display show once the e-liquid is used up?
The e-liquid level then sits at the bottom end. None of the models can be refilled, so the device is finished. How to hand it in properly is in our article on disposing of a disposable vape.
Can I change or switch off the display?
No. The display runs exactly as it is set from the factory. What you can switch is the coil mode on the Tornado 20000 and the flavor on the Eco models; the display itself stays as it is.
Does the display show which flavor is active?
On the Eco 4in1 80000 yes, it shows the active tank from one to four. On the Eco 2in1 50000 no; there you notice the switch because the turned mouthpiece clicks audibly into place.
How do I know the display belongs to an original?
By the security code on the packaging, not by the device. Copies imitate the housing and the display too. The steps for checking are in the Authenticity Check.
