A disposable vape is a prefilled device that you unbox and use right away. E-liquid, battery and coil are built into the housing for good, and there is nothing to refill. Once the e-liquid is used up, you hand the whole device in at a collection point. The number in the name tells you how many puffs it delivers per the manufacturer, from 12,000 to 80,000.
How is a disposable vape built?
From four parts in a sealed housing. The tank holds the e-liquid, the coil heats it, the battery supplies the power, and a sensor starts the process the moment you draw. You do not need a button. Because everything is glued and pressed together, nothing can be swapped and nothing refilled, the battery included.
That is exactly the difference from a refillable device. You save yourself tanks, coils and bottles of e-liquid, but you hand the whole device in when it is empty. The full range is under Disposable Vapes.
What does the number in the name mean?
It stands for the puffs the device delivers under steady conditions. A Digital Box 12000 is built for 12,000 puffs, an Eco 4in1 80000 for 80,000. In daily use your number comes out lower, because your draw length and draw strength differ. For the runtime, divide the puff count by your puffs per day.
At 300 puffs a day, 12,000 puffs last around 40 days, 25,000 around 83 days and 80,000 around nine months. Every model worked through individually is in the article How many puffs does a vape really have.
What are the display and USB-C on newer devices for?
The display shows you the e-liquid level and the battery level. That way you see when it gets tight instead of noticing it in the taste. The USB-C port recharges the battery. It is needed because at high puff counts the battery would otherwise run out before the e-liquid, and the rest in the tank would be lost.
You cannot refill anything through the port, it only carries power. What to watch when charging and storing is on our Battery Safety page.
How do the models differ?
In the puff count and in how many flavors sit in the device. The small models hold one flavor and run for a short time, the big ones last months. The two Eco models are the special case: the 2in1 holds two flavors, the 4in1 holds four, and you switch between them on the device.

How do you spot an original?
By the security code on the packaging. Every genuine device from RandM and Fumot carries a code you can match against the manufacturer. On devices from January 2026 on it is printed openly, on older ones it sits under a scratch field. If the code does not check out or is missing, what you have is not an original.
On copies, neither the stated puff count nor what is built into the device holds up. We are an authorized Fumot dealer, and you can check every device from us yourself. The steps are in the Authenticity Check.
What happens to the device at the end?
It goes to a collection point whole, not into household waste. There is a lithium battery in the housing, and that becomes a problem in residual waste. Recycling centers, hazardous waste collections and the collection boxes in many stores accept small electronics. Do not open the device first and do not try to pry the battery out.
The box goes in with paper, but hold on to it for as long as you use the device. It carries the security code. Everything about handing it in is in the article Disposing of a disposable vape the right way.
FAQ
Can I refill a disposable vape?
No. The tank is sealed and the housing is glued shut. Break it open and you almost always damage the battery, and that is exactly when it becomes dangerous. Once the e-liquid is used up, you hand the device in and get a new one.
Then why does a disposable have a charging port?
Because the battery is smaller than the e-liquid supply. Without recharging, the big models would run out of power before the tank is empty. So the port does not add to what is in the device, it just lets you use all of it.
How long does an unopened disposable vape keep?
Store it dry, dark and at room temperature and it stays usable for a long time. Heat is the biggest enemy, and in a car in summer both the e-liquid and the battery suffer. A device that is swollen or getting warm is one you stop using.
What is the difference between RandM and Fumot?
Fumot is the manufacturer, RandM the brand many of the models run under. Newer models carry the Fumot name directly, the Leopard 40K and the Eco models for example. Both come out of the same house, which is why the Authenticity Check works for every device.
Which model do I take to start out?
One with a small puff count, so 12,000 or 15,000. You are through it in a few weeks and can switch flavors without a long commitment. Which direction fits you is covered in the article Which vape flavor fits you.
